I pressed the sleep wake button on my smartphone and watched as the screen before me flashed to life. There, sitting at the kitchen table in my childhood home I pondered the road ahead of me. Five years previous I had embarked on an extraordinary adventure and had managed to write a book in the process.
From enticing Indian passageways to remote Thai beach huts, tireless fruit packing factories to secluded campsite living, those twelve months abroad had altered me in a way that I could never fully comprehend.
As the wall mounted radiator wearily moaned and unwillingly drip fed small doses of heat into the icy walled room an idea flashed across my mind.
It was time to take control. It was time to publish my book.
This is my story.
